About MikaylaMikayla is a costume designer, dyer, and craft artisan based in the Greater Boston area. She received her M.F.A. in Costume Design from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her B.S. in Fashion Design from the University of Rhode Island.
In 2022, Mikayla received a BroadwayWorld Rhode Island nomination for Best Costume Design of a Play or Musical for her work on Footloose at Theatre By The Sea. That same year, she was also the Costume Designer for Black Super Hero Magic Mama at Company One, which received an Elliot Norton nomination for Outstanding Production in a Small Theater. Mikayla's work was presented at Design Showcase East in 2021 and her costume design for Wild Thing was seen at the Siglo de Oro Drama Festival in El Paso, Texas in 2019. |
